Do you know who is the bankrupt?

The Prophet (peace be upon him) once asked his Companions (May Allah be pleased with them),
“Do you know who is the bankrupt?”


The Companions said, “A bankrupt is the one who has neither dirham (money) nor wealth.”


The Prophet(peace be upon him) said: The bankrupt of my Ummah (Nation) is he who would come on the Day of Judgment with lotsof prayers, fasts and charities ;


but who had offended a person….


Slandered another….


Wrongfully taken the wealth of that person…..

Shed another’s blood…..


and has beaten still another……

So Allah will take rewards of his good deeds & give them to those who had been victimized by him;

If all of his good deeds were finished before their dues were paid….
Their sins will be taken and imposed on him….

 
…and consequently, he will be thrown into the fire-pit! Narrated by(Muslim)

Allah’s Messenger (may peace be upon him) said:

A prostitute saw a dog moving around a well on a hot day and hanging out its tongue because of thirst. She drew water for it in her shoe and she was pardoned (for this act of hers).

Allah is more pleased with the repentance of a servant as he turns towards Him for repentance than one among you upon a camel in a waterless desert when (that camel) with his provision of food and drink is lost by him, and he, having lost all hope (to get it,) lies down in the shadow disappointed about his camel, and there suddenly he finds that camel standing before him. He takes hold of his nose string and then out of boundless joy says: O Lord, You are my servant and I am Your Lord. He commits this mistake out of extreme delight.

may Allah be pleased with him, reported:
Allah’s Messenger (may peace be upon him) said:

A woman was punished because of a cat. She had neither provided it with food nor drink, nor set it free so that it might eat the insects of the earth.

Hadith number in Sahih Muslim [Arabic only]: 4161

your youth before your old age,

your health before your sickness,

your wealth before your poverty,

your free-time before your preoccupation,

and your life before your death.”

[Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him )- al-Haakim, al-Bayhaqee, Saheeh]

COMMENTARY: The value of health is only realized when one falls ill.
Take for example, relieving oneself. If a person is unable to use the bathroom for a day, what happens to this person? His whole life comes to an immediate halt and he looks for ways to relieve him. This one bounty of Allah (God) we enjoy day in and day out but we do noteven regard it to be a bounty.

Let us appreciate the bounty of health and use our health in theobedience of Allah (God) the Almighty.
Free time is another bounty of Allah (God) the Almighty.
Consider those people who have to tirelessly work many shifts just to make ends meet. They also cherish free time but are forced just to support their families. Therefore appreciate the free time before you are forcedto use it in other ways. A sign of appreciation is to dedicate someof the free time for the Ibaadah and service of Allah. The enjoymentone will earn by doing so can never be explained.
Allah (God) states in a Hadith Qudsi “O! Son of Adam free your self for my obedience and I will make you independent and remove your poverty,and if you will not do so, I will tire you with work and never remove your want and poverty”.

`My money, my money!’ Yet, what is your money except that which you eat and use up, wear and tear, and spend in charity and thus keep (in your record).
Other than that, it will go away and will be left for the people (the inheritors).

In addition, Imam Ahmad reported that the Prophet (peace be upon him) said:

The life of this world is the residence of those who have no residence, the wealth of those who have no wealth, and it is harvested by those who have no sense of reason.

The Prophet (peace be upon him) was asked about the ‘Grave Sins’, and He (peace be upon him) replied,
“They are:
(1 ) To join others in worship with Allah,
(2) To be undutiful to one’s parents,
(3) To kill a person ( which Allah has forbidden to kill)
(4) And to give a false witness.”

Sahih Al-Bukhari Hadith 3.821, Narrated by Anas.

‘He who has intercourse with his wife through her anus is accursed.’

Sunan of Abu-Dawood Hadith 2157, Narrated by Abu Hurayrah.
